OneRagtime

OneRagtime is a venture capital platform that finances and scales early-stage European startups from Seed to Series B. The firm manages €150M in assets, has backed 50+ companies (including unicorn Jellysmack), screens 4,000+ deals per year, and works with 250+ investors.

As CTO, I designed and built the three products that powered the platform: the Platform (the investment experience for investors), the Core (a digital system managing all VC operations), and the Deepdive (a data pipeline for discovering and qualifying startups and investors). I also built and managed the technology team in Barcelona and led technical due diligence on startups in the deal flow.

Takeaway

Auditing dozens of startups for investors changed how I evaluate technical decisions, including my own. You start seeing patterns: the teams that ship fast aren't the ones with the best stack, they're the ones with the fewest unnecessary abstractions.
